Biography

Ms. Desmarais is a seasoned legal and operational professional with over two decades of experience guiding small and mid-sized companies in general counsel and executive team roles.

Ms. Desmarais’s expertise lies in managing and mitigating risks, optimizing operations, and spearheading growth initiatives.  Most recently, Ms. Desmarais was general counsel and EVP for a privately held company regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where she worked with management and cross-disciplinary teams to develop regulatory applications and led organizational restructuring efforts, including overseeing strategic outsourcing of key functions, transitioning to a cost-effective ERP and inventory management software, and development of a nationwide product licensing and excise tax strategy, resulting in a significant reduction in SG&A for the business.

Ms. Desmarais is actively involved in various professional groups and is a board member and Secretary for the Pasadena Audubon Society.  She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband, teenage boys, and dogs.
